Business ethics is a from of applied ethics or professionals ethics , that examines ethical principles and moral or ethical problems that can arise in a business environment. it applies to all aspects of business conduct and it is relevant to the conduct of individuals and entire organizations.

Unethical behavior is an action that falls outside of what is considered morally right or proper for a person , a profession or an industry. Individuals can behave unethically, as can businessman , professionals and politicians.

Ethics in general is concerned with human behavior that is acceptable or "right" and that is not acceptable or "wrong" based on conventional morality. 
General ethical norms encompass truthfulness, honesty, integrity, respect for others , fairness and justice.
Ethical behavior is so important because finance involves the management of others people's capital.people must be willing to invest their capital with others if the economy is to thrive which is why it very important to the economy to have confidence ethical behavior.

The unethical practices in accounting are more in proprietary, partnership and private limited companies . it is at lower levels  in public limited companies and MNCs.
unethical behavior may violate a code of conduct for a particular industry or sector. professional organisation may censure or revoke the licenses of those professionals who are found to have committed unethical acts.

Ethical marketing decisions and efforts should meet and suit the needs of customers, suppliers, and business partners. 
understanding the importance of marketing ethics is not only the long term goal and objective of the company but there are various long-term gains attached to following the same such as customer loyalty, high credibility in the market and in the minds of the customers, increased market share,enhanced brand value.
